Tell Your Story
We all have the fear at one point or another of revealing too
much of ourselves to others. We think
that we may be either rejected or talked bad about because of what we feel and
how we’ve expressed it. These are very
common and understandable emotions yet they are based on a negative belief that
our power and validation lie outside of us and not inside of us. By giving others the power to validate our
ideas and feelings, we deny who we truly are.
We must as the song says “let it [our light] shine, let it shine, let it
shine.”
Bashar gives a beautiful story about a tribe sitting around
a pot that has beautiful artwork on it that tells the story of their
people. Each person around the pot sees
a different image and tells the others about it. Without their image the story
is incomplete. The moral of the story
is: don’t deprive others the benefit of your vision.
“Say what’s on your side of the pot” - Bashar
